Mechanical aptitude and the use of special tooling and basic hand tools is what is required to secure the reinforced crankshaft to the crankcase.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Kitaco sell to be great value when compared to what most other companies sell their products for and the reinforced crankshaft is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being no significant cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the reinforced crankshaft, I chose EMS for a earlier arrival date. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box. Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Webike Japan is the first place I look to for all my motorcycle needs. About quality and texture, I can confirm that the quality is great and that the material used is steel and ultra high-speed precision bearing. About the feeling of use, This reinforced crankshaft is a wonderful addition to any performance engine and will prevent the engine from sustaining any significant damage from the increased power levels. Products to buy together, A larger throttle body would be ideal to add to your cart to maximise the performance of your new engine. Difficulty of installation, I can say the fitment of the reinforced crankshaft for my installation was difficult due to having to completely disassemble the engine. You may need to consult a mechanic for this installation. Cost performance and comparison with other products, The pricing of the product is good. You receive a part designed parts for the JC61 and JB02 models made using high quality materials. A more expensive option is available from Takegawa and cheaper options from Thailand suppliers. About shipping and packaging, My order was shipped within 24 hours of the product being in stock and I received a few emails advising me of the status up until the order was dispatched. The order arrived within the estimated date range and was extremely well packaged. I found the link supplied to track my order very useful while I was waiting for the order to land in the country. Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing, I have no concerns or cautions when purchasing from Webike. I cannot recommend Webike enough for the majority of your biking needs. Reinforced Crankshaft from Kitaco
* About quality and texture, The crankshaft is pre-assembled together with the Kitaco forged H-section connecting rod. Designed to handle the additional stress over the Honda OEM one.* About the feeling of use, This is a light weight and high strength crankshaft that has no trouble with high power and RPMs for extended periods of time.* Products to buy together, You will be needing to also purchase the Kitaco crankshaft assembly tool to fit the crankshaft into the right case half.* Difficulty of installation, Removal of the old crankshaft is done using a crankcase splitter then installation requires pressing the new bearing into the case half and then pulling the crankshaft through using the special Kitaco tool. The process was completed in 90 minutes with a little difficultly.* Cost performance and comparison with other products, There are only 2 options for a stronger crankshaft for the Grom here and the Kitaco one is by far the best value.* About shipping and packaging, I am happy to wait 8 weeks on average for my parts to arrive in Sydney Australia via Webike's sea freight which comes with tracking and insurance so I know I'm covered in case something was to go wrong but with there outstanding bubble wrapping and boxing there have been no problems.* Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing, The Kitaco crankshaft is designed to be used with cylinders that are at least 164cc or there will be cylinder skirt interference. Use the product reviews to assist in making a decision on your purchase.
