The Daytona Cozy that I ordered does fit the 1982 and 1983 Katana models. I looked all over the States and tried to have someone make a seat for me as my original one was looking old. When shown the picture of the Daytona Cozy Seat the people I spoke with said that they couldn\'t touch the price of the seat if they had tried to copy it. The person I took the foam and seat cover to did charge me $130 to take the old seat cover and foam off and put the new on which I thought was a bit too much but I was in a hurry to get it done so I let them do it. Needless to say they did a great job and the seat looks perfect. It is not the silver and blue like the original but the prices for an original are crazy. I have not had a chance to ride the bike as I am getting my gas tank painted but the seat looks very well constructed and I am hoping the foam is better than the 30 year old foam that was on the orginal. I would not hesitate to order another Daytona Cozy seat for any other model that they make.
