TG-RUN's GSX-R1100

The oil-cooled GSX-R1100J looks like a brand new machine in the early stock color scheme. The frame is reworked and cleaned up, and every part has been rebuilt through overhauls and upgrades. The electrical system is completely renewed, and the engine has been replaced with a better unit which consists of Yoshimura ST-1 camshafts. Both front and rear wheels are new, but the sizes are the same 18-inch as the stock wheels.

TG-RUN, which has handled many oil-cooled GSX-R1100s and GSX-R750s (mainly limited edition RKs), has gained expertise in performance and durability provided by the parts of street bikes while putting their custom bikes into racing. They have worked on so many bikes, and such experiences have made their custom possible. They also incorporate the element of compatibility with the latest tires, such as the Bridgestone T32s used in this project. The oil-cooled GSX-R series is often thought of as sturdy, but this is only true if they are maintained on a regular basis. So it is important to keep it in good condition through constant care and maintenance. In addition, upgrades should be made in areas such as grip, braking power, and comfort in response to changes in the environment over time, such as road surfaces and traffic conditions. This custom is a good example of the kind of work that should be done to the oil-cooled GSX-R.

Engine

The 1052cc oil-cooled straight-four engine is a stock unit that has been refreshed and upgraded using Yoshimura ST-1 camshafts. FCR Φ37mm carburetor and 4-2-1 GSX-R1100 (86-88) K-Factory titanium full exhaust are installed.

Bodyworks

The exterior is a repainted stock GSX-R1100J. The windshield is by TG-RUN & Screen Craft. The mirrors are Magical Racing Racer Replica Mirrors Type 2 heads. The left and right master cylinders are Brembo radial billet bodies, and the stem and gauges are refreshed stock parts.

For the fuel tank, TG-RUN & Beater Aluminum Fuel Tank GSX-R1100 (86-88) is used to reduce weight and prevent deterioration as it does not rust.

The TG-RUN Sports & Comfort Seat provides comfort when riding and improved maneuverability by determining the posture of the seat as it has an appropriate shape. The seat is also designed to provide a good footing. This is a part of the GSX-R of this generation, as well as the current GSX-R and other models. It is also possible to change the color of the upholstery by bringing in a standard seat.

Chassis

The rearsets are also made more rigid with the TG-RUN Variable Step Kit made of machined aluminum, which enhances body hold, responsiveness, and maneuverability.

The front forks are stock Φ41mm, but they have been overhauled with new setting. The front brake is Brembo Axial P4 30/34 caliper combined with TG-RUN & Sunstar Premium Racing disc for improved braking power and control.

On the rear brake, Brembo P2 34 caliper is mounted using TG-RUN caliper support and set on Sunstar Premium Racing disc.

The ribbed square aluminum swingarm is a stock GSX-R1100J, and the rear link rod is by Technical Garage. The rear shock is Ohlins. The front and rear wheels are MAGTAN JB1 in 3.00-18/4.50-18. Mated to these are 18-inch Bridgestone T32 tires (110/80ZR18, 160/60ZR18).
