Honda unveils first CL250 customization! Tasteful look with SP TAKEGAWA exhaust and guard!

At the Osaka Motorcycle Show, Honda unveiled a custom CL250 equipped with aftermarket parts. They displayed two versions, an off-road and a touring version, each of which may serve as a good example depending on the rider's needs.

High-mount exhaust, smaller than stock for a lighter look

With the CL250's release date set for May 18, custom aftermarket parts (until then only stock parts has been announced) were on display at the Osaka Motorcycle Show in March. Two demo bikes were prepared to show what the CL250 can do, one with off-road style and the other with an on-road touring type customization. The off-road version has Pearl Cadet Gray coloring, with a headlight guard and SSS slip-on exhaust by SP TAKEGAWA. In addition, Dirt Freak wide foot pegs and a PLOT radiator core guard are also equipped for a sense of security when riding on forest roads.

■Custom version of the CL250, which was released on May 18, 2023 for 621,500 JPY. It has Pearl Cadet Gray coloring and is fitted with parts from various companies.

■SP TAKEGAWA's headlight guard costs 16,830 JPY. It prevents damage to the light from rocks and gravel.

■SP TAKEGAWA's SSS slip-on exhaust costs 82,500 JPY. It is smaller than the stock exhaust, which has a taller silencer with two exhaust ports, so it may contribute to weight reduction.

■PLOT's radiator core guard costs 24,200 JPY and DAYTONA's pipe engine guard (upper) is 32,780 JPY.

■The skid plate that protects the crankcase from rocks and other hits is made by ACTIVE and costs 19,800 JPY.

■The rear suspension is KITACO's GEARS Rear Shock (92,400 JPY).

■ACTIVE VMX handlebars with preload adjusters. It comes with a handle brace for added rigidity.

■Dirt Freak's chromoly wide footpegs cost 9,680 JPY. These wide footpegs are safe because they can bite and hold on even when the soles of your shoes become slippery with mud.

Touring version with a low-mount exhaust

Putting a low-mount exhaust on the CL250, which is originally a scrambler style bike with a high-mount exhaust, is likely to have benefits for riding pillion and carrying luggage. In addition, a large windshield and a small storage compartment next to the tank enhance its usability for touring.

■This custom is equipped with an SP TAKEGAWA meter visor kit (20,900 JPY), a DAYTONA HenlyBegins frame bag (11,550 JPY), and TANAX EZ3 Mirrors EX (4,290 JPY x 2).

■MORIWAKI's SHORT MEGAPHONE Full Exhaust costs 108,900 JPY, while DAYTONA's PREMIUM ZONE Passenger Step costs 18,480 JPY.

■SP TAKEGAWA's side bag support kit (8,800 JPY) and touring bag S (5,280 JPY) are installed on the left side.
