Excellent piece of kit. Always can be in the right rpm range unlike stock transmission. First gear is a little tall, would rather it be shorter but it is still ok. Makes the bike faster and shifting quality is better too.
Some people say that it only improves the connection, but what about the effect? Some people say that it only improves the connection, but we wanted to compete with JB-03 (laugh), so we built in the 5-speed! The first gear is slightly lower and the fifth gear is slightly higher than the original Top…. But if the Spec. has increased Torque by Bore up, etc., you can be a little happier if you raise the Front Sprocket by one (lol). There will be more choices of GEAR in the Speed area that is often used, and there will be less GAP between GEARs, which is not without psychological relief. I was worried that the manual might need some fine adjustment. I was worried because the manual says that fine adjustment may be necessary, but in our vehicle, no adjustment is necessary and the feel is not so different from normal gear = originally, the spec. of the footpeg with firmly and lowered footpeg. The most difficult problem may be the labor cost if you ask the shop to install the case.View Detail
I used to have two bikes, a 250cc and a late JC61, but due to various reasons, I gave up the 250cc and became the sole owner of the late JC61. I was reluctant to buy one because it cost 50,000, but now that I have one, and I have 250cc Gold to sell, I took the plunge. I've been an amateur motorcycle maintenance technician for 30 years, but I've never opened a 4th engine before, and I was feeling a little nervous again. In the end, I just removed the engine and sent it to him for installation. I had to wait for a month for delivery, and the engine had to be unloaded twice and sent twice because the flywheel came off. "I don't think this GEAR ratio is right." I had no sense of "This is it!" I am satisfied with the results. The GEAR is a bit sluggish in 4th and 5th gears, but I hope it will become more comfortable as I drive more. It cost me about 100,000 for the kit and installation, but I am satisfied with the condition. The newest model, JC92, is a 5-speed model with Anti-Lock Brake, and I don't think it will be a hardship to change to a 5-speed model, so I think it will be cheaper for new buyers to buy JC92 than to install this kit. However, I already have a JC61 late model, and I like the appearance of the JC61 late model and JC75, so this 100,000 yen investment is not for me personally. Original I am fully satisfied, including the satisfaction of having been able to create the feeling of being able to do so. It's a recommendation to change to a 5-speed for the late JC61 and JC75. And it's a lot cheaper if you can do the work yourself!View Detail
Even if you use 4th NORMAL gear, the balance is not good because of the valley of the torque The Grom was very difficult to ride because the fourth gear was too far away, but oh my goodness, what a surprise! A dramatic bifurcation! I was worried about it from a Cost standpoint, but I installed it and was right about the Large I'm having too much fun riding it Is it just me, or do you think it will be a more saleable motorcycle to Honda? With the synergistic effect of the Exhaust System replacement and Power Filter, the I don't feel the Large strange Bore up of Maintenance is necessary The best thing is that a steep gradient can be climbed without stress But it is difficult to feel the difference between 4th and 5th gears because they are too closeView Detail
What made you decide to buy? ◎ The Grom OEM 4 speed Mission shifts into the illusory 5 speed when you are riding Wouldn't it be better to have an OEM or 5 speed Mission? I think, but in terms of Cost... The deciding factor in my purchase was the illusory 5-speed, made real! How was your experience with it? It's a great ride with the feeling that there is another GEAR between the OEM 3rd and 4th gears If I were to give you a Merit-Demerit, Merit is a GEAR-to-GEAR is CROSSing and will accelerate to Smooth Was the installation difficult? It was the first time for me to work on this job The work was done I did some preliminary research on the Net, apart from the accompanying Instruction Manual, and the areas to look out for were I checked it many times 【Please tell me the installation point and hang】 ◎Reconfirmation after the installation of the Mission, Case will be closed with liquid packing, so you can reconfirm it again It's a bit of a hassle to check it again, but it's important to double check before closing, and it's also important to use liquid packing in the gaps between the Small Parts It's important to double-check before closing, and it's also important to make sure the Small Parts are in place with liquid packing through the gaps Be careful not to drop it into the closed Case Also, Clutch must be assembled firmly, otherwise it cannot be cut I failed in building in Clutch and had to worry about it for a week, and then I investigated variously and solved it safely It is important to get the center of the clutch firmly [Was the Instruction Manual easy to understand? ◎ Before assembly, a minimal Instruction Manual is required! I thought it was a good idea, but after I built it in, the point was explained properly, but the 5th speed Since this is a description of the mission, you will need to do some preliminary research on the Others and It's important to read the Instruction Manual as often as you can! [Included Parts:were they on? L.Crankcase Cover Gasket and R.Crankcase gasket are available as a It comes with but Thrust washer 15mm, Bush, ShiftFork ( (Honda OEM Parts) and liquid packing is required, ShiftFork removed You can use OEM parts, but the Thrust washer 15mm and Bush are Removing it from the OEMMission is also a Large odd job It's cheap and can be ordered from We-Big, so you're better off buying it together! [Others] You will need tools and a working kill There are some parts that need to be modified depending on the individual variance, but the assembled 5-speed MissionGROM will be ready to go When I test drove it, it was a lot of fun, something you can't get with OEM Also, after installing the Mission, it's the same as a new car, you'll need to break it in until you get used to each operating part I'm not going to be able to do that I've been doing break-in tours every time I'm on vacation, and I'm planning to change the oil soon It isView Detail
NORMAL 4 speed is overpowering too early so it's pretty much a Stress pool and it's a familiar Grom, but incorporating this Kit will make the 4th speed crawl lost in the speed range on public road. It will be Fe Ring with a considerable margin and Power does not rise, but it will be able to run quicker as a result. Or it will be easier to ride. it's recommended.View Detail
With the 80cc big bour kit this is a must have. I have gained 20kmh and gained loads of torque , when i added the 80cc kit i only realy gained touque not more speed, i was a bit dissapointed. but after adding this, I gained speed and did not lossing touque, this is impressive considering i have removed all the plastic boddy parts and replaced them with home made wooden ones.View Detail
As usual, when it comes to Takegawa products, fit and finsh are top notch. When inspecting the product, you can see that it is a high quality product that was made with a lot of thought and attention to detail AND passion. After installing this lightened primary gear, the change to engine performance of my z125 pro was quite significant for such a small thing. It revved much more quickly up the rev range.Granted, I installed this item AFTER I had installed the Takegawa 138cc big bore kit. Therefore, I can be sure how much of a performance bump this would have had if the engine was stock standard. However, I believe that this upgrade is a viable option, even for a stock standard engine.Naturally, since it involved removing the side casing of the engine, I left it to a trusted mechanic. It was a relatively simple and easy job for a mechanically inclined individual. There are a few other brands that make similar products, however I choose Takegawa because it has been said that it does not produce strange noises in first gear (as compared to other brands). While I cant speak about the other brands, I can confirm that this product works perfectly and the engine does not emit strange whinging noises after installation.Shipping was quick and packaging was very well done (although probably slightly big for what it was). All in all, the product exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with this purchase.View Detail
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of this 5 speed transmission kit, crankcase gaskets are included and the finish of the hardened steel parts is as good if not better then the Honda parts.About the feeling of use: For the amount of riding I do I did not have a problem with the Honda 4 speed transmission but since the crankcase was being split to install a new crankshaft I took that as an opportunity to try the Takegawa 5 speed transmission and I am glad I did. The taller first great and the shorter fourth gear are my favourite changes between the two transmissions.Products to buy together: Some form of big bore engine performance parts would also be desirable to purchase along side the 5 speed transmission. Takegawa have many products available from an inexpensive e-stage 143cc kit all the way up to their super head 4v+r 181cc combo kit.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about three quarters of an hour, assembly of the 5 speed transmission requires re-using a few parts from the 4 speed transmission. Not difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a part that is finished and operates as good if not better then the Honda part as compared to the cheaper and inferior parts from Yuminashi and HiSpeed.About shipping and packaging: The faster shipping options are too expensive for myself so I just have to wait for my part to arrive via sea freight. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: A great product that is not only for a high performance Monkey 125 but also for riders that like to make the most of the motorcycle they have.View Detail
* About quality and texture, The fit and finish of every part in this kit is perfect, shaft spines and gear teeth are machined and finished by professionals.* About the feeling of use, I am enjoying the new gear ratios and the addition of an extra gear. I don't have anything negitive to say, it just does everything better then the Honda OEM 4 speed transmission.* Products to buy together, If you are going to perform this installation yourself, apart from your regular tools at home you will also be needing a flywheel puller, a center lock nut wrench and a rotor holder.* Difficulty of installation, The installation of just the 5 speed transmission after you have all the access to the internals of the engine is pretty simple. Following the included instructions you need to transfer a few Honda OEM parts over and re-assemble in the correct sequence. The process was completed in 60 minutes with a little difficultly.* Cost performance and comparison with other products, This is a significant amount of money but it is also a major internal engine part, so is justified. There are cheaper options if you want to modify the gear ratios but stay 4 speed.* About shipping and packaging, I am happy to wait 8 weeks on average for my parts to arrive in Sydney Australia via Webike's sea freight which comes with tracking and insurance so I know I'm covered in case something was to go wrong but with there outstanding bubble wrapping and boxing there have been no problems.* Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing, Takegawa say you also need their speed sensor kit for the stock speedometer to operate but mine works fine without this additional purchase. Use the product reviews to assist in making a decision on your purchase.View Detail
Purchased this to cover the Takegawa oil catch can kit which is advertised to fit with.Needs to be trimmed to fit over the forward and down facing line of the catch can. Also, plastic is very thin and uses Velcro to attach at the top.Looks good but quality and design are not up to Takegawa standards in my opinion. Originally I mounted hoses wrong and was losing oil. When mounted on the Monkey 125, hose port facing the tail light is your filter line or to intake port.View Detail
Worked as described. Once crank bearing installed in crankcase, this tool allows you to pull the crank through the bearing. Tool rests on inner bearing race so no damage to balls or races. View Detail
Wanted to use this piece but it seems less oil travels over oil temperature sensor and the temperature is reading very high even though the true temperature is normal.View Detail
