At the Osaka Motorcycle Show, YAMAHA unveiled the XSR125 as a planned production model. They exhibited a custom version, and accessories that are going on the market soon were also revealed.
In Japan recently, fashionable 125cc neo-classic bikes have been popular, but the only one made by a Japanese manufacturer was the CB125R. YAMAHA's XSR125 is a new entry into the market, with a stronger heritage flavor than the sharply designed CB. The accessories YAMAHA has lined up for the XSR125 emphasize its style, with a fashionable bikini cowl, custom seat, and skid plate for a more stylish look. Prices for the parts have not yet been determined, but will be revealed when sales are officially announced.
■XSR125 Japanese Spec Modification [YAMAHA] The XSR is a neo-classic model that shares its engine and chassis with the YZF-R125. This is a custom example equipped with planned production accessories.
■Not only the bikini cowl but also the seat has been changed, giving it a full-fledged custom look. A fender eliminator kit is also installed for a sleek look.
■Small matte black bikini cowl with smoke-colored windshield. Adjustable black levers with logos are installed on the brake and clutch sides.
■The left side shows the headlight pre-customization. The bikini cowl is mounted with special brackets that push the headlight out slightly. This exquisite repositioning of the headlight gives an impression similar to that of a rocket cowl.
■The custom diamond-stitched seat adds an air of sophistication. It appears to slope down more than the stock seat, which may improve leg position.
■The stock resin skid plate has been replaced with a metal one. The engine is fitted with aluminum crankcase covers with the YAMAHA logo on both sides.
■A grip-printed protection pad is attached to the tank cover. It contributes to a classic appearance as well as scratch protection.
