Unveiling of new YOSHIMURA “Tactical Cyclone” exhaust for the CT125 Hunter Cub (Trail 125)!

 8 min read

YOSHIMURA has released a new "Tactical Cyclone" that is compatible with the new engine of the CT125 Hunter Cub (Trail 125), which underwent a minor change for the 2023 model. A prototype was announced in 2022, leaving many people waiting to get their hands on the finished product, and the stunning finish was well worth the wait. The shape is of course a topic of discussion, but the most important point is that YOSHIMURA made sure it was also compatible with the old engines from before the model change. In addition to preventing the tragedy of not being able to install the exhaust because of a mistaken model year, owners can also be rest assured that if they purchase this exhaust for the older model, they won't have to repurchase a new exhaust if they upgrade to the newer model in the future. A demo bike was on display at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show, so please take a look at the photos we took to get an idea of what it looks like installed. A prototype crankcase cover was also installed, so we've made sure to get some shots of that as well.

Product Features

The "Tactical Cyclone" silencer steals the show with its outdoor feel and wild character. It is equipped with an exclusive emblem and has the YOSHIMURA logo on the exhaust port, making it stylish even when viewed from directly behind. A heat guard with the YOSHIMURA logo laser marked on it is also included. Since the heat guard gets rubbed against often, something might get caught on a plate and stickers could easily peel off, so laser marking for the logo is the best choice. Also, once you've used it for a while and the edges start to wear out is when it looks the coolest, right?

And of course, as mentioned above, it is also important to note that this silencer is compatible with all CT125 models regardless of the year.

■This is a full view of the demo bike with the Machine Bent Tactical Cyclone installed. The look is completely different from a racing exhaust.

■View from the side. The heat guard on the exhaust pipe is distinctive, creating a very tough and wild look.

■Close-up of the heat guard covering the silencer. The surface has a hairline finish, giving it a multifaceted look that is not just boxy. The "Tactical" exclusive emblem is new.

■The matte black finish on the exhaust pipe is very cool. It is not a semi-gloss finish, as is often the case, but a completely matte finish, which is very rare for a newly developed exhaust in recent years.

■Close-up of the heat guard located in the middle of the exhaust pipe. The surface of the heat guard has a semi-gloss finish and a laser marked YOSHIMURA logo.

■The surface of the stainless steel heat guard is plated with black nickel, which gives it a variety of different looks depending on the reflection of the lighting. From this angle you can better see the hairline finish.

■A closer view of the heat guard and exhaust pipe section. The cross section of the guard appears to be laser cut.

■This shot shows a good view of one of the aluminum engine case guard kits, the Crankcase Cover, which is compatible with new engines from the 2023 model onward and retails for 16,500 JPY.

■The demo bike was also equipped with a carbon license plate holder. The YOSHIMURA logo looks orange here due to the lighting, but in reality it is of course red.

YOSHIMURA's Original Meter Visor costs 17,380 JPY for the painted version and 10,780 JPY for the unpainted version. A large black sticker in the style of a racing number base is also included, although it was not attached on the demo bike.

■Flyers with explanations of the various parts installed on the demo bike were also distributed.

■The frame cover of the demo bike had YOSHIMURA stenciled on it. This technique gives the bike even more of a military look, so it may become popular to do.
