OX RACING's R1-Z

This custom bike is based on a 1993 Yamaha R1-Z. It was inspired by Gas Monkey Garage, an automotive custom shop in Texas, U.S.A. The top is painted in red mica, and the bottom has a silver and metal look. OX Racing specializes in restoring bikes from the 1950s to the 1970s, and not only restoring the beat-up bikes, but also bringing them back to life with a lively style.

While the engine overhaul and front fork modification were done by OX Racing, Boring and Rear shock were done by iNOUE BORING and Pentagram, the professional custom shops. As if the Gas Monkey Garage, the original source of influence, had done so, the dead R1-Z was brought back to life.

Handle

Hurricane's Clip-on Handlebars were installed. There is a Gas Monkey Garage's logo on the fuel tank.

Bodyworks

The seat cowl, which fits comfortably, is an NSR Tail Seat Cowl made by FRP Studio OMD, and the MC28 taillight is mounted on the cowl side by a specially made bracket.

The side covers, replaced by carbon, are lined with the logos of the shops that cooperated in the customization (OX Racing, Pentagram, Moto Shop Acqua).

Engine

The engine is stock, which has been fully overhauled by OX Racing. And the carburetor is OX Racing TM Φ30mm, the air cleaner box is also modified.

Intake & Exhaust

The dual right-handed exhaust chamber is made of KP hand-bent titanium, which this stock is based on the product. The torque between the low to the middle speed is outstanding.

Chassis

Front forks are modified with inner pistons by OX Racing. Front brakes have also been reinforced with Brembo calipers and Sunstar brake discs.

The purple rear springs seen at the rear of the bike are Hyper Pro's product. The link plate of the rear suspension is also modified to raise the bike height. The rear shocks themselves are modified by Pentagram, and both front and rear dampers are now effective. The wheels were polished from stock to give them a more metallic look.

About OX RACING

The "OX Racing" features the beautiful carbon silencer with a mesh pattern and a chamber that is painted with heat-resistant clear and crossed at the root of the exhaust.
