STRIKER's ZX10R
The owner, who normally rides a Zephyr 1100, purchased this ZX-10R in order to actively enjoy sports riding. He also enjoyed the Zephyr 1100 custom, so he consulted with STRIKER as to customize the ZX-10R to his liking as well, and many modifications were made to the bike. Not apply only to this ZX-10R, but also other supersports models are lightweight, compact, and equipped with powerful engine and very high performance. It may seem that there is not much room for customization, but that is exactly why setting and positioning are so important.
Supersport models are extremely high-performance. However, it is not always the case that a new bike is truly suited to an individual's physique and riding style. For some people, the handlebar may be too far, the footpegs too close, or too far forward. In order to achieve the best performance, the step position was changed to a position that allows the rider to have more forward load, and the suspension was adjusted more easily to bring out the rider's performance even more. Replacement of such parts is necessary in the pursuit of riding comfort. In addition, the owner has also taken the lead in dressing up each part of the bike, improving the overall appearance.
Handle
The Magical Racing carbon mirrors are a popular product because they contribute to weight reduction and, at the same time, increase rearward visibility by suppressing vibration. The secret of its popularity is not only its performance but also its high-class appearance.
The Gilles Tooling handlebar is popular among touring users. In terms of the handlebar, the pull-back angle is not too tight, so it is good for both street and racing use.
Intake & Exhaust
The exhaust system is STRIKER's Arata. Combined with the Yoshimura BAZZAZ performance-chip, the exhaust system revs up without stress, making it easy to drive on the street as well as on the track without stress.
Bodyworks
The tail cowl was made by an unidentified foreign manufacturer, and since it was unknown whether it was for the ZX-10R or not, it was difficult to install, including the wiring for the lamps and blinkers.
Chassis
The rearsets are made by STRIKER and can be adjusted to 6 positions. Especially on the race track, when more front load is required to mark a good lap time, relocating the footpegs backward will allow a more natural forward lean, which will give a better result.
The front forks were modified by Hirokawa Motors with HyperPro inner springs. This improved the tracking performance and rideability both on the track and on the street.
The rear shocks are made by Ohlins to optimize the balance of the front and rear suspension. Resetting is based on a wealth of setting data, making it easier to cope with all aspects of the bike.
By utilizing the BAZZAZ auto-shifter, it is possible to shift gears with the throttle fully open. This function is effective on tracks, but it has also become popular in recent years for touring scenes because it eliminates the work of shifting gears.
